M.A. in Educational Psychology

Whether you’re a teacher looking to develop more effective instructional methods, or you’re interested in gaining expertise in occupational learning, UNC’s master’s degree program in Educational Psychology will prepare you with the skills and knowledge to lead in your field. The master’s degree can be completed in one year or spread out over a longer time period, depending on your needs. The program is offered at our main campus in Greeley, Colorado, as well as off-campus extension sites in Denver, with core courses offered during the summer to accommodate teaching schedules.

Marilyn Welsh

Marilyn Welsh, Ph.D.

Professor of Psychology

Marilyn Welsh, Ph.D., teaches content-rich classes in developmental psychology that combine lectures with classroom discussion. Her goal is to link the topic area, whether it is research methods or child psychology, to current issues in society while providing students with the practical, critical thinking skills to make informed decisions about their own lives. The author of numerous scholarly articles, her research has been funded by organizations including the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation.
