Garvey Signature Events
The Marcus Garvey Cultural Center hosts signature events throughout the year to celebrate, honor, and uplift Black culture, history, and community. These programs are open to all members of the UNC campus community and reflect our commitment to learning, service, and connection.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
Each January, we honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr with a Day of Service. Join the UNC community as we give back, support our cultural and resource centers, and reflect on Dr. King’s vision for justice and education.
“Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Learn. Serve. Connect. Everyone is welcome.
