Future Students
The Center for Human Enrichment (CHE) provides support to a selected number of first generation college students enrolled at UNC. First generation is defined as a student "whose parents or legal guardians do not hold a bachelor’s degree or students who have independent status, living outside the support of a natural or adoptive parent."

Información Para Los Padres |
|---|---|
| We understand that families are a critical part of the student’s journey throughout their college experience and their academic success. CHE staff are available to provide parents with support and answer any questions they may have about policies and procedures at UNC and/or need someone to help understand the lingo and paperwork that may need to be completed. At CHE, we welcome questions from parents who may be uncertain of institutional practice. However, we cannot share details about your student without written consent because of FERPA regulations.
We invite parents to participate in New Student Orientation (NSO) along with their student; this provides an opportunity for them to learn more about the educational experience their student will embark upon. Additionally, we welcome parents/family to join us on the first day of the summer CHE Connections and remain for a meal. This gives parents an opportunity to become familiar with the CHE staff and program. Please contact us with questions or concerns that may come up at 970-351-1905 or visit us at Michener Library, room L-116. |
