Application Process

2. Supplemental Application and Fee ($75)

Eligible applicants will receive an email invitation to complete our supplemental application and submit a $75 nonrefundable fee. This application is designed to assess mission fit for UNC COM and asks you to describe your identity and lived experiences, your commitment to community and health equity, and your experiences with collaboration.

3. Screening

Our admissions team reviews each application holistically, considering academic performance, service, leadership, and alignment with the values of osteopathic medicine.

4. Interview Invitation

Selected applicants will be invited to participate in an asynchronous, multiple mini-interview (MMI) to further assess their preparation, interpersonal skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.

5. Interview

Based on MMI results, applicants may be invited to a live virtual, one-on-one, semi-structured interview on the Kira Talent platform.

6. Admissions Decision

Following the interview, applicants will receive an admissions decision. Offers are extended on a rolling basis from March through June.

7. Enrollment Deposits

To secure your seat, submit a $150 deposit within 14 days of acceptance and an additional $250 deposit by May 1. Both deposits are applied toward your first-year tuition.

8. Matriculation Documentation and Background Check (by July 1)

All required documentation, including a background check, must be completed by July 1 to ensure timely enrollment.
