UNC COM Seeking Simulated Patients, Family Members and More

Help play a part in training the next generation of Colorado's Osteopathic physicians

The University of Northern Colorado’s College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking individuals to join its Simulation Standardized Participant Pool as temporary university aides. Standardized participants play an important role in healthcare education by portraying patients, family members, caregivers, and other healthcare-related roles, helping medical students and healthcare learners develop and assess clinical skills in realistic simulation experiences.

This opportunity is ideal for reliable, professional individuals who are comfortable interacting with learners, memorizing case details, and providing authentic, consistent portrayals in educational settings. Participants will attend training sessions and rehearsals before taking part in simulation activities and may occasionally provide feedback to learners.

The position is temporary, with a target hire date of Sept. 1, and offers compensation ranging from $20 to $26 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Applications received by 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 15 will receive full consideration, though the position will remain open to build a pool of qualified candidates.

Interested applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization and be fluent in English. To learn more about qualifications and apply, visit UNC’s Career Hub. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the education of future healthcare professionals while gaining experience in a dynamic and impactful learning environment.
