UNC Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

UNC releases an Annual Security and Fire Safety report by October 1 annually. This report informs the university community about current policies, procedures, crime prevention programs and campus crime statistics. The report includes: 

• Crime statistics for the last three calendar years (2022, 2023 and 2024) on campus, within surrounding public property and in specific off-campus buildings or property (non-campus).
• Statistics regarding fires in on-campus residence facilities for the last three calendar years (2022, 2023, and 2024).
• Information on how to report a crime or a safety concern.
• Information on safety alerts, timely warnings and emergency notifications.
• Safety tips and security program information.
• Information about the university drug and alcohol policies and prevention programs.
• Interpersonal violence education, response, discipline and protective measures regarding sexual assault, domestic and dating violence and stalking.
