Join Radical Health to Make Friends, Build Life Skills
Sign-up by Jan. 23
Did you know that, in a spring survey, 45% of UNC undergraduate students and 36% of graduate students screened positive for loneliness? Loneliness was highest among trans and gender non-conforming students, 62% of whom screened positive for loneliness.
Students—
• Do you sometimes wish you had more friends?
• Would you like to learn skills to improve your emotional well-being and connect with peers?
• Would you like this semester to be different?
The Office of Health Promotion is excited to launch the Radical Health program later this month. The four-week program involves peer leaders meeting with small groups of students once each week, with a focus on helping students make friends and build resilience. The program is open to both new and returning students. Based on implementation at other universities:
• 85% of participants report feeling more connected to their community at the end of the program
• 87% of program participants would recommend the program to a peer
The sign-up deadline is Jan. 23, and enrollment is limited. At this time, only students studying in Greeley can participate.
