Community Conversation: Supporting International Faculty and Staff
A faculty gathering centered around reflection and support
All UNC faculty and staff are invited to an informal coffee hour and listening session on Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 3-4 p.m., in Campus Commons Room 2300. The session will be focused on strengthening support for international faculty and staff at UNC, hosted by Dawit Senbet, equity advocate for international faculty and staff. This gathering is intended as a welcoming space for conversation, reflection and shared ideas about how the university can better support colleagues with international backgrounds and experiences.
The session will be opened by Provost Kirsty Fleming, underscoring the university’s commitment to listening and learning in this area. Participants are encouraged to attend, whether they wish to listen, share perspectives or simply learn more. The event is open to all faculty and staff, regardless of role, college or background.
This conversation will help inform future priorities, coordination and support strategies related to international faculty and staff at UNC.
To help with planning, an optional RSVP link is provided here. Attendance is welcome with or without an RSVP, and the RSVP is used only to help estimate attendance.
