46th Annual Accounting Golf Tournament Supports Student Scholarships
For more than 46 years, UNC alumni have teed up to support scholarships for UNC Accounting students in the annual Accounting Golf Tournament. This year, 19 teams and 76 players met at the Meridian Golf Club in Denver on June 14 and added nearly $9,000 to scholarship funds for accounting students.

UNC Appoints Interim Provost for 2021-22 Academic Year
University of Northern Colorado President Andy Feinstein announced on June 17 that Lisa Vollendorf, Ph.D., has been appointed as interim provost for the 2021-22 academic year. Vollendorf brings 26 years of higher education experience to UNC and has held numerous leadership roles, including provost, dean, department chair and Academic Senate chair. She will start her new role on July 1, 2021.

Meteorology Associate Professor Awarded Fulbright to Study Pollution in Italian Alps
David Lerach, Ph.D., an associate professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at UNC, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar Award to study how pollution in the northern Italian Alps may impact precipitation patterns across the region, specifically how much precipitation falls, where it falls and whether it’s being shifted between different watersheds.
