In the late 1980s, Lloyd Yonemura, ’72, helped pioneer the Aloha Program and the Aloha Scholarship. The program helped first-year students from Hawai‘i gain a sense of belonging while settling into campus life at UNC.

Increasing Diversity and Growth in Graduates from Business College Headline Fall Class of 2023
The University of Northern Colorado is hosting its fall 2023 commencement ceremonies on Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9. Approximately 765 students will graduate this semester with around 469 earning bachelor’s degrees and nearly 300 earning a master’s, specialist or doctoral degree.

In the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, two professors walk into a classroom, but it’s a high school classroom: Kyle Anne Nelson, Ph.D., MPH, professor and chair of the Sociology department and Chris Talbot, Ph.D., professor of Gender Studies.
