Parents and guests, who are affiliated with a partner institution, can connect to UNC's EduRoam network by choosing EduRoam and entering the proper credentials. If you are having problems connecting to the network, please choose from the list of devices below. 

  • Windows
    1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in taskbar on the bottom-right. If this icon is not visible, make sure to enable Wi-Fi in the Control Panel.
    2. Click eduroam in the list of wireless networks, then click Connect.
    3. If prompted to accept the security certificate or trust the connection, simply click Connect.
    4. Enter your username and password from your institution, then tap Connect.
  • Mac
    1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the top-right, then click Turn Wi-Fi On if it is not already on.
    2. Click eduroam in the list of wireless networks.
    3. If prompted to accept the security certificate or trust the connection, simply click Connect.
    4. Enter your username and password from your institution, then click Join.
  • Android Device
    1. Go to your Settings menu, then find your Wireless or Wi-Fi options.
    2. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on, then tap eduroam.
    3. Select the security options below and enter your credentials, then tap CONNECT.
      • EAP method: PEAP
      • CA certificate: Do not validate
      • Identity: your first.last email address
      • Anonymousidentity: (leave this field blank)
      • Password: your password from Ursa
      • Select Advanced Settings:
        • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
        • Click Save
    4. If everything is correct, you will see "Connected" below the network name.
  • Apple Device
    1. Tap the Settings icon.
    2. Tap Wi-Fi.
    3. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on, then tap eduroam.
    4. Enter your username and password from your institution, then tap Join.
    5. If prompted to accept the security certificate or trust the connection, simply tap Trust.
