In this program you’ll examine how the body adapts to exercise. There’s a particular emphasis on heart, muscle tissue and metabolism. Focus your studies on either basic science or clinical practice. The program offers comprehensive research training that includes the following:

Physical Education and Physical Activity Leadership Concentration
This is a research degree. It’s for students who seek careers as college or university professors or related areas. You’ll build academic expertise in physical education and physical activity leadership. You’ll also develop excellent teaching skills. We have one of the world’s oldest and most respected sport administration Ph.D. programs. Our program has been training exceptional researchers and teachers since the 1980s.
