Our program prepares you for a career as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Athletic trainers are health care professionals. They specialize in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries.

They are part of a complete health care team who work under the direction of a licensed physician. They also work with other health care professionals, athletic administrators, coaches and parents.

This is a two-year program, delivered over five consecutive semesters. Entry into the program is selective and competitive. It is a challenging program where you develop practical skills.

The program includes both classroom and clinical education. These two elements are not separate. Together, they are essential to the goal of the best possible education. The classroom focuses on the theory and knowledge of athletic training. The clinical focuses on the “real-world” application of classroom knowledge.
