Biography
As a life-long learner, Shane has been (over)involved in various areas in school, including his time as an undergraduate student at UNC where he worked in Housing, Orientation, Admissions, and Student Government while studying for two Bachelor’s degrees. Living out the motto “Once a Bear, always a Bear,” Shane returned to UNC in 2022 after receiving his Master’s and working at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Currently Shane is pursuing his law degree at the University of Denver part-time while serving in his role in the Dean of Students Office.

Professional Experience & Affiliations
Shane has worked professionally within higher education since graduating from the University of Dayton in 2021. Shane’s roles at Metropolitan State University of Denver and the University of Northern Colorado have been housed in the Dean of Students Office focusing on compliance, prevention, and student support. While at UNC, Shane has served as a case manager on behalf of the CARE Team before transitioning into his current role as the Assistant Director of Community Standards and Conflict Resolution.
