Biography

Dr. Nathan Williams is the Chair of the Department of Osteopathic Principles and Practice at the University of Northern Colorado’s proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine. A dedicated clinician, educator, and academic leader, Dr. Williams brings deep expertise in family medicine, osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine, and osteopathic manipulative medicine.

He received his osteopathic medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. Following graduation, Dr. Williams completed an internship in Family Practice at Larkin Community Hospital (2017) and residency training in Integrated Family Medicine and Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at University of North Texas Health Science Center and Medical City Fort Worth (2021).

Dr. Williams is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians in Family Medicine (2021) and holds added qualifications in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (2022). He is also board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (2022).

Dr. Williams has teaching experience in pre-clinical, clinical, and graduate medical education settings; and has served as Associate Professor in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH (2021-2025). He also served as core faculty in the Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine residency program at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens (2022-2025). He gained clinical practice experience from 2021-2025, focusing primarily on Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

Dr. Williams is committed to advancing osteopathic principles, fostering innovation in medical education, and preparing the next generation of physicians to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
