Biography
During my first graduate school experience, I earned a fellowship and distinction for my thesis, “Reading Hypermedia: Three reviewers read and evaluate a hypermedia grant proposal.” I wanted to explore how the emerging world wide web provided us with unique opportunities to enhance communication, and so this was a study about how rhetorical conventions are challenged when making web-based arguments. From the start, I have been working with innovative applications of technology in higher education, particularly in teaching and learning. My second round of graduate school was devoted to computer information systems, and my focus towards the end of my study was on project management and leadership as it relates to instructional design in higher education. Throughout my career, I have also worked professionally as a graphic designer, web designer, web architect, non-profit manager, and project manager. In 2019, I earned my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
