Professional Experience & Affiliations

Dr. Welker is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs. Dr. Welker teaches a range of courses, including introductory courses in international relations and a wide range of upper division courses such as Politics of Migration, Women and Politics, and Environmental Politics and Law.

Research Expertise & Interests

Dr. Welker’s research focuses on ecological subjectivity, environmental political theory, climate change, poststructuralism, and new materialism.

Publications

Dr. Welker has published work in The Journal of Psychosocial Studies and is currently in the process of proposing a full-length monograph entitled Re-Imagining the Ecological Subject: Toward a Critical Materialism of Entangled Ecologies.
