Crimes Reported in last 60 Days to a Campus Security Authority
The crime log is required to have the most recent 60 days’ worth of information of crimes that happened within the UNC Police patrol jurisdiction that are reported to a Campus Security Authority. Each entry in the log must contain the nature, date, time and general location of each crime and disposition of the complaint, if known. Information in the log older than 60 days must be made available within two business days. To request information in the log older than 60 days, please contact the Clery Office or UNC Police Dispatch.
Housing Fire Log
Fires in On-campus Student Housing Faciliites
The fire log is a place where the university records all fires in on-campus student housing facilities by the date they are reported. Reported fires include fires that were already extinguished as well as those discovered while still burning. Fires can be reported by anyone, regardless of the individual’s association with the institution. Any student housing fire that is reported to any official at UNC must be documented in the Fire Log.
