What We Do

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a student-run organization dedicated to enhancing the collegiate experience for students living in residence halls, university apartments and university-owned houses.

RHA and NRHH are here to advocate for, recognize and support our campus community.

RHA offers leadership opportunities, philanthropic initiatives and free events for all students. Residents can get involved through their RHA Community Council, where they help plan events, advocate for their fellow residents and make a positive impact in their community. RHA members have opportunities to attend regional and national conferences to represent UNC and network with student leaders from other institutions. At the end of the year, RHA hosts a banquet to celebrate the accomplishments of the residential spaces on campus, recognize outstanding members and honor students who have made a difference in the residential life experience.

What’s the difference between RHA and NRHH?

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the student-led governing body of all residence halls on campus. We strive to connect students to the UNC campus and provide leadership opportunities. We host events and aim to create an enjoyable experience for students during their time in our residence halls. We keep you connected to events and issues and help share ideas and information about programs in your hall. Interested in joining? Learn more on BearConnect.

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is an honor society supported by the leading international organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students. NRHH strives to provide recognition for individuals who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing. It ensures the advancement of member chapters through resource sharing, programming and leadership development opportunities.

Partnerships

RHA offers many products to help make the transition to UNC and the residence halls as seamless as possible.
