Our program offers unique opportunities for learning and advancement:

  • Work with faculty who bring strong leadership and research experience to the classroom. You’ll be in small classes with plenty of personal interaction.
  • Choose an area of emphasis based on your interest. This includes children and adolescence, and school counseling. It also includes couples and family counseling and gerontological counseling.
  • Work toward your degree at a pace and schedule that fits your needs, with some online, weekend and evening classes available.

You’ll learn:

  • How to apply theory and skills of supervision, as well as develop your own personal style of supervision
  • How to design, deliver and evaluate course curriculum for counselor training programs at the graduate level
  • Methods to advance the field through qualitative and quantitative research
  • Leadership skills for professional organizations and counseling programs
  • Where can your degree take you?

Graduates pursue careers in a variety of settings as:

You’ll also be qualified for licensure as a professional counselor, for employment in:
