The School of Music

We are a vibrant community of performers, composers, educators and music industry professionals. We believe in the power of music to transform the world. We also have a longstanding history of excellence in creativity and scholarship. We strive to continue this in our day-to-day pursuits and rely on it to guide our future.

We have earned a Grammy nomination and won over 125 Down Beat Student Music Awards. We have sent students and faculty as ambassadors around the world, including Europe, China and South America.

The School of Theatre Arts and Dance

We provide training for students who plan to pursue careers in professional theatre or as teachers of theatre arts. We actively cultivate an appreciation and understanding of theatre through an anti-racist lens. We do this by working with Broadway for Racial Justice to ensure that theatre is a vehicle for the enrichment of life. It is studied and viewed via the full spectrum of American society and culture.

You will not only be exposed to rigorous academics in the classroom but also enjoy a wide variety of performance opportunities. You’ll get to work alongside nationally recognized guest artists. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore every facet of the theatrical arts.
