As we conclude this year and look ahead to 2021, I reflect on the challenges we have endured, as well as the uplifting moments experienced within our campus community. The accomplishments and creativity of our faculty, staff, and students demonstrate the remarkable Bear spirit that arose from an unprecedented yet defining year for UNC.

Plans for the Start of the Spring 2021 Semester
Throughout 2020, UNC has worked together to be responsive and flexible in the face of uncertainty, and we remain committed to keeping our community connected, safe, and supported with every decision we make. e have decided spring semester will start as planned on January 11 with no changes to the academic calendar.

A Message From President Andy Feinstein: Update on Current UNC COVID-19 Status
In late October, I notified the university community that, because of the rise in COVID-19 cases in Weld County we were preparing for a probable change in our Safer at Home status based on the state’s COVID-19 dial. While the State has not yet moved Weld County to the next level, UNC has made the decision to take proactive measures for the health and wellbeing of our campus community. Beginning Monday, November 16, the university will officially begin to follow the state’s Safer at Home Orange guidance.

Weld County COVID-19 Safer at Home Status
In the past few days, it has become clear that we face an increasing prevalence of COVID-19 cases in our county. We must act quickly and decisively to slow the virus’s spread and keep our university community – and our neighbors and friends in Greeley and surrounding areas – as safe as we possibly can
