Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant Request

We appreciate your interest in requesting a consult with the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We approach our consultation work as a collaboration between the Division and respective participants. As scholar practitioners we utilize theory and best practices to provide resources and support to our colleagues. This collaborative approach is only successful when all parties take personal responsibility to an ongoing commitment to change.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion consultants will provide recommendations, resources, and referrals in our consultation process. We do not provide individualized coaching sessions or personal professional development. We encourage you to check out the UNITE program or other institutional resources for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for further resources to grow your own DEI professional development.

Types of Consultations Provided 

* All timelines are dependent upon the scope of each project *

Document Analysis.    DEI Consultants will support you with review of current or future documents used in internal and external communications and practice. Examples of projects include surveys, syllabi, position descriptions, etc.

Expected timeline from beginning of project to completion is 4-6 weeks.

Environmental Analysis DEI Consultants will provide an assessment of a physical environment and workplace culture to evaluate design and process for equity. Examples of projects include office spaces, lounges, physicals settings, etc.

Expected timeline from beginning of project to completion is 6 weeks

Process/Program Analysis DEI Consultants will provide review of current or future policies, practices and programs within a division, department, or unit. Examples of projects include trainings, committees, and team development.

Expected timeline from beginning of project to completion is 6+ weeks.
