We offer the most teacher licensure programs in Colorado, with options at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow your career, we’ll help you earn your teaching license and get classroom-ready.

Already have a license? You can earn added endorsements for licensed teachers in Colorado, other states, and even abroad.

First initiated as the Colorado State Normal School in 1889, UNC has education in its DNA. It is legislatively designated as the state’s primary institution for degree programs at all levels that prepare educators. We provide future teachers and educators with a foundation to work with diverse student populations across multiple subject areas in a multitude of settings.

You can earn your teacher licensure/endorsements in the following areas

Take our online Early Childhood BA degree completion program. You will learn how to teach children from birth through age eight. You’ll have the option to earn your early childhood teaching license.

Turn your passion for working with kids into a career as an elementary school teacher in Elementary Education. At UNC, you’ll earn licensure for grades K-6, complete extensive classroom experience and graduate ready to teach with confidence.

The School of Special Education offers one of the most comprehensive training programs for special educators (undergraduate, master’s, doctoral) in the nation.
