The Institute for Democracy and Higher Education (IDHE), which "strive[s] to inform and shift college and university priorities, practices, and culture to strengthen democracy and advance social and political equity", focused on the upcoming presidential election in their most recent newsletter. Since 2018, IDHE has visited college campuses around the country to identify the challenges and opportunities that faculty, staff, and students will face due to the 2020 presidential election.
IDHE also outlined their New Years' Resolutions which include: Identify and close turnout gaps, foster a campus climate that supports political learning, discourse, equity and participation, and more.
