University Staff Recognition Banquet

UNC staff were honored during the 49th annual Staff Recognition Banquet on Thursday, March 5.

UNC President Feinstein joined Classified Staff Council Chair Lindsay Snyder and Professional Administrative Staff Council Chair Bryson Kelly in welcoming staff. During his remarks, Feinstein thanked staff for all they do "to foster the success of the university and students," noting that the the banquet is "an opportunity for our leadership to show how much we value the contributions.”

Added Snyder: β€œIt is important for us to express our gratitude to all of you. ... You are UNC, and we appreciate all that you do for this institution, our students and one another every day.”

The event, which kicked off Appreciation Week, also recognized employees of the year Chad Pohja and Deena McBain and staff who were nominated, along with retirees and Years of Service milestones.  For more information regarding the 2019-2021 banquet see the article UNC Today.

Rowing, Not Drifting

President Feinstein invited our community to row together in support of a future focused on student success and that future requires a strong team - our staff.

Help Andy, Classified Staff Council and the Professional Administrative Staff Council thank and recognize the individual staff who best serve the university and our students by rowing together. The annual staff recognition banquet provides UNC two opportunities to thank staff. First, the Employee of the Year program, which was established by CSC and PASC to recognize excellence among the university's staff. Second, the Service Year Milestone awards, which are designed to recognize years of commitment to the university. The nomination period for 2020-2021 Employee of the Year TBAAwardees will be announced and recognized during the banquet.
