Sarah Chase, Ph.D., who has 18 years of experience in higher education, will manage the center known as One Stop Plus (OS+) in the new Campus Commons. It will be a hub for students to get assistance they need from trained staff in one location, eliminating the need for students to visit multiple offices.

Chase currently serves as senior manager of Academic Services for graduate programs in the College of Business at Colorado State University. She previously spent six years as director of UNC’s McNair Scholars program.

“Throughout the interview process with the campus community, feedback was overwhelmingly positive about Sarah’s ability to collaborate and provide the personable, insightful, caring, approachable, and welcoming persona that will be key to the success of the OS+,” Provost Robbyn Wacker stated in a campus memo introducing Chase.

Chase holds a doctorate in Higher Education & Student Affairs Leadership, a master’s degree in Counseling and Human Resources Development, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Chase will start in her new role Sept. 11 as development of the OS+ operation is under way. In addition to the OS+, features of the Campus Commons include a new performance hall for the renowned College of Performing and Visual Arts and the creation of a campus gateway for current and prospective students, tours, alumni and visitors. The building is scheduled to open in fall 2018.
