Compliance Training

Beginning the summer of 2019, compliance training has moved from SkillSoft to Canvas.

How can I access my compliance training?

You must first register for compliance training on HR's website. Note you will need to register for each course.

Once you have registered, the courses will appear in your Canvas. (If you don't see your class, click on See All Courses). If you have questions or problems with your account, please SUBMIT a TICKET or contact support@unco.edu

What is compliance training?

Compliance training is employee training which is mandated by national or state legislation or by university policy. It educated employees on laws and regulations associated with the University of Northern Colorado. Depending on your role at UNC, training initiatives may be mandatory. 

Who must complete compliance training?

FERPA Training 

All faculty, staff, and students who have access to PII (Personally Identifiable Information) must complete FERPA training.

PCI (Payment Card Industry) Training

All faculty, staff, and students who work in various departments with access to UNC's financial information are required (annually to maintain compliance with PCI Data Security Standards) to complete this PCI Training.

Sexual Harassment

Faculty, staff, and students employed with UNC must complete training on what constitutes sexual harassment in the workplace and when to report sexual harassment. 

Cybersecurity

Another training faculty, staff, and students may be required to complete is Cybersecurity.
