Careers in Political Science

The faculty in the Political Science and International Affairs Department is committed to providing students with a traditional liberal arts education that emphasizes critical thinking, reading, writing and speaking skills.  This type of education prepares student for a very wide variety of careers.  Don’t forget to check out the “Careers in Political Science” brochure published by the American Political Science Association, which includes a list of possible careers for those studying Political Science and International Affairs, such as:

A degree in Political Science will also prepare students exceptionally well for graduate studies in law, public policy, international relations, journalism and many other fields.  In addition, several of our graduates have gone on to serve in the Peace Corps.
