Thank you for stopping by! The Center for Women’s and Gender Equity (CWGE) has resumed building hours. As a precautionary measure regarding COVID-19 and in compliance with UNC’s COVID policies, face coverings and physical distancing will be required in our building. The CWGE staff are working both remotely and on campus to best support our campus community. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize health and safety. Any university updates will be published on the COVID-19 information page.

We recognize the tremendous impact that the pandemic is having globally, and we are working to ensure ongoing support for our campus community. As we are available to connect remotely and in-person, we ask for your patience as some services may be limited and response time may increase. Please, check our website and social media platforms regularly for updates on how to access our services and resources.

Lactation stations are now open and available for use. Each lactation station will be cleaned daily by our campus facility maintenance staff and disinfecting wipes will be provided.

The University of Northern Colorado recognizes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding/chestfeeding and human milk for both the individual breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and/or lactating and their children, and in promoting a family-friendly work and study environment. As a UNC community member, you will be glad to know that we have many options to support folks who decide to continue to express their milk upon return to work and/or school. This initiative is sponsored by the Center for Women's & Gender Equity and the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics.

We are proud to announce UNC received the Breastfeeding Friendly Business Award from Weld County Public Health and Environment! Awards are given to businesses that develop creative solutions to support breastfeeding/chestfeeding mothers and employees.
