Lactation Support

Thank you for stopping by! In light of Campus closure and as a precautionary measure regarding COVID-19, the Center for Women’s and Gender Equity staff are working remotely in an effort to best support our campus community. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize health and safety. University updates will be published to our COVID-19 information page as the situation develops.

We recognize the tremendous impact that the pandemic is having globally, and we are working to ensure ongoing support for our campus community. As we are still available to connect remotely, we ask for your patience as some services may be limited and response time may increase.

Resources for lactation support:

If you would like to connect with someone from our Center or voice any questions/concerns, please contact us at cwge@unco.edu.

The University of Northern Colorado recognizes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding/chestfeeding and human milk for both the individual breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and/or lactating and their children, and in promoting a family-friendly work and study environment. As a UNC community member, you will be glad to know that we have many options to support folks who decide to continue to express their milk upon return to work and/or school. This initiative is sponsored by the Center for Women's & Gender Equity and the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics.

We are proud to announce UNC received the Breastfeeding Friendly Business Award from Weld County Public Health and Environment! Awards are given to businesses that develop creative solutions to support breastfeeding/chestfeeding mothers and employees.

For any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us at cwge@unco.edu.
