The CETL Teaching Coaches program celebrates and shares the teaching expertise of UNC faculty across campus. This initiative connects instructors with experienced peers who provide personalized support, pedagogical insight, and practical guidance on a wide range of teaching topics.
Examples of why you may want to reach out to our teaching coaches:
- reach out to your college Teaching Coach to get an outside perspective on a teaching strategy for your class, because you would like an outside observer for feedback about a class activity, or you are looking for learning resources.
- reach out to the AI Teaching Coach for help with integrating generative AI into course content, or are unsure how to talk to students about AI literacy, or are just needing general help understanding the role of this new technology in education.
- reach out to the High Impact Practices Teaching Coach because you are looking for help in incorporating undergraduate research, service-learning, or collaborative projects to your course.
New for this year, we are proud to introduce:
- College Teaching Coaches: Faculty representatives from each academic college who bring deep disciplinary knowledge and experience in teaching within their specific contexts. These coaches offer tailored support for colleagues in their colleges and help bridge pedagogical strategies with content-specific needs.
