Will the New Year bring a new career?

Does your list of New Year’s resolutions include a fresh take on your career? Tap the professional power of the UNC Bear Network for programs and services designed to help you restart or reinvent your career this year:

Résumé Resolutions

Let’s begin with your résumé. For a short document, it can be complex, take time and require a great deal of creative thinking. Thankfully, UNC Center for Career Readiness has resources to help you write your first or rethink your latest version.

Schedule

Because a résumé involves writing and organization, schedule time on your calendar or in your planner to work on your résumé. If you are a current student, you may also schedule an appointment with a career counselor for assistance in building and reviewing your résumé.

Samples and Styles

Weekly Webinars

Did you know that the alumni association’s UNC Connect mentoring software gives alumni access to more than 500 career and professional development webinars – all for free! All you have to do is create a UNC Connect account and login. Webinars are available for UNC Connect advisees (students and recent graduates) and advisors (alumni). Set a plan to watch a webinar each week this year and you’ll soon gain ideas and new perspectives for your career and professional plans. Visit UNC Connect to login and browse through the webinar library.
