Alumni Join UNC Advancement Team in January

University of Northern Colorado alumnae Tracey Clay '13 and Ashley Register '19 join UNC's university advancement staff January 4 as the Associate Director of Records Administration and University Events Coordinator respectively.

Clay, a current UNC employee, joins the advancement staff have most recently served as the Slate CRM specialist and data processing specialist in the UNC Office of Admissions. Prior to UNC, Clay was a member of the admissions staff at Colorado State University. 

Clay holds a master's degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College, a BA in Anthropology from UNC, and an associate of arts from Aims Community College. In addition to her fulltime professional experience, Clay served as an archives intern with the University of Northern Colorado library and The National Archives. She brings a strong appreciation and understanding of data and records management, crucial skills to helping UNC manage and administer its alumni and donor database.

Register returns to UNC with experience as a part of the Broadmoor Hotel’s catering and event staff, as the PR/social media manager for Inspired Communications LLC, and an intern with the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council in Washington, D.C. This, coupled with her three years of experience working on University Program Council, helped frame Register’s understanding of events as a strategy through which to engage constituents and build meaningful connections and relationships.

Register holds a BA in Journalism with minors in Political Science and Africana Studies. Along with her professional experience, Register has strong UNC ties as a former student leader and student athlete. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., was a UNC Scholar Athlete representing UNC’s Division I Track & Field team, was selected as a Hi-Bridge Society Inductee, served as a member of the Student Public Relations Network, among other clubs and associations. Her UNC relationships span multiple university affinities and constituent interests, and the team is excited that Register will apply these experiences toward working alongside Christina Edwards to design and execute university events
