Present at Research Day 2021

UNC Research Day, scheduled virtually for April 8th, brings together research, creative and scholarly works for one day of undergraduate and graduate presentations. A faculty Poster Session also provides faculty researchers the opportunity to present their work to students. 

Research Excellence Awards are included in the Research Day events and highlight the best of undergraduate and graduate level work. First and second year undergraduate students may compete for the Developing Scholars Awards in the poster presentation category. All students, Graduate and Undergraduate, may compete for awards with their posters and oral presentations in one of the three disciplinary groupings:

  • Humanities, Arts & Creative Endeavors
  • Natural & Health Sciences
  • Social Sciences, Business & Education

Deadline for presenters to apply is March 5th VIA URSA
Faculty, Graduate and Undergraduate students may present posters; Students may present oral presentations; panel, group, or class presentations; or roundtables.
Research Excellence Awards - Run concurrent with Research Day. Students check the Research Excellence Award box when they upload their abstracts. Develop scholars poster awards are for 1st & 2nd year Undergraduates, and those students must also apply by the deadline and check the developing scholar box. All REA sessions will be virtual but live presentations. We are providing spaces on campus for students who need more reliable internet connections to present.
NEW: Faculty Poster session 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. virtual posters! Share your poster as upload OR present the poster in the virtual/live 2-3 p.m. session. Sign up via URSA.
