It would be an understatement to say that these are unprecedented times for everyone, not only at UNC but also in our local and global communities. Although health and safety is the number one priority, and local and federal guidelines should be followed when it comes to stopping the spread of COVID-19, there is still work that needs to be done. Helping those who are in vulnerable positions during a pandemic is of utmost importance, which is why UNC Engage is continuing to provide volunteer opportunities aimed at helping at risk populations like the elderly and those with limited resources.
If you would like to contribute to your community in this time of need (or simply need an excuse to get out of the house) follow these steps:
1. go to uncengage.unco.edu
2. Use your Bear credentials (email and password) to sign up or log in to UNC Engage
3. Click on the "COVID-19 OPPORTUNITIES" tab on the left hand column and browse for opportunities that meet your interests and or skills.
4. After you have completed your engagement opportunity don't forget to log into UNC Engage and track your hours. You can do this by clicking on your profile icon on the top right corner and clicking on "TRACK HOURS".
