To celebrate Halloween while engaging with Greeley students, Professor William Merchant took part in Centennial Park Library’s Beyond the Classroom program. On October 5th, students from 3rd-5th grade came to the library to learn through the idea of candy. Professor Merchant taught kids through the ideas of candy distribution, sorting, trick-or-treating routes, and understanding variable effect outcomes like candy type and/or quantity/quality. These are hard ideas, but candy always makes things a little better. Many thanks to High Plains Library District and Professor Merchant in engaging and connecting the community and UNC.
