Military Affiliated Student Organizations

UNC is proud to host a variety of military affiliated student organizations on campus. These organizations host military awareness events, assist with resources, and conduct community outreach and service projects. Success comes with teamwork and these student organizations are here to help you succeed.

Peer Advisors for Veteran Education at UNC

The Student Veterans of America released a statistic that hit us hard. They stated if a student veteran has just 1 person on campus, whether faculty, staff, peer, or another vet, they were 75% more likely to succeed and graduate. To combat this, UNC has partnered with the University of Michigan and over 40 other campuses across the country to support student veteran success through the power of peers.

The Peer Advisors for Veteran for Education (PAVE) program intentionally focuses on this idea and allows for organic connection with others. Do you have someone that has your 6? Someone who will call you out when you need it or hold you accountable? Or do you need to find a Peer Advisor? We can help. Sign up today.

Student Veterans of America

The Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapter at UNC was created by student veterans to be an advocate for military affiliated students and create awareness of resources available to students on campus. This organization is completely student lead and continues to grow every semester. Contact the SVA president for more information.

The first SVA event of Spring 2023 will be Movie Night at the Cottage at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1st. See you there!
