Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon Program was designed to help cover out-of-state tuition costs. The program supplements the Post 9/11 GI Bill® and eligible participants may qualify for 100% of out-of-state tuition expenses.
If a student does not qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program, they may still quality for in-state tuition. Please check out our Residency page.
Unfortunately, active duty service members and spouses of active duty service members are not eligible to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program. However, they may be eligible for the Tuition Assistance Top Up Program. Check with the base Education Office for more details.
The University of Northern Colorado does not cap the monetary allotment or the amount of eligible veterans who are able to receive benefits under the Yellow Ribbon Program.
All UNC admission based scholarships, including but limited to the UNC Provost, Presidential, & Trustee awards, are considered by UNC to be the university's match for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid about other scholarship applicability.
