UNC Trustees to Meet Wednesday, Nov. 1

October 30, 2017

The University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting to address the early stages of the presidential search at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the Panorama Room of the University Center, 2101 10th Ave.

Trustees will announce the leadership characteristics that they and the search committee of faculty, staff and students have been refining after administering a survey earlier this month to gather campus and community feedback on the draft of the characteristics sought in the next president. During her State of the University address Sept. 12, UNC President Kay Norton announced her retirement at the end of June in part to provide the board with time to conduct a thorough search.

The special meeting will be followed by the trustees’ regularly scheduled finance and audit committee meeting, which will include presentations on the preliminary financial statement for the 2016-17 fiscal year, the financial report for the first quarter of the current year and the five-year fiscal sustainability plan, and internal auditor report.

The board’s next meeting will be a work session Nov. 16 before the regular board meeting Nov. 17.
