Neuroscience of Dance Subject of New Book by Faculty Author

Jan. 27, 2017 — University of Northern Colorado faculty member Sandra Minton has co-authored a book that incorporates her collaborative research into the thought processes in learning and performing dance.

"Thinking with the Dancing Brain" explores the relationship between neurological functions and dance. Minton, who co-coordinates the College of Performing and Visual Arts master's degree program in dance, co-authored the book with her fellow researcher, Rima Faber, the founding president of the National Dance Education Organization.
