International Film Series Kicks Off Spring Schedule Feb. 8 with 'Pride'

Feb. 7, 2017 — UNC's International Film Series begins its spring schedule with Pride at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 and 7 and 9:15 p.m. Feb. 9 in Michener Library's Lindou Auditorium. A moderated discussion led by Kenneth Chan, professor of English, and Stephen Loveless, director of the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center, will follow the Wednesday showing. Admission is free.

The rest of the series includes:

The Birth of a Nation (2016, 110 minutes) at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 and 7 and 9:15 p.m. Feb. 16. A moderated discussion led by Travis Boyce, associate professor of Africana Studies, and Burke Hilsabeck, assistant professor of English will follow the Feb. 15 showing.
Oscar Shorts (2017) at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 and 23
Certain Women (2016, 107 minutes) at 7 p.m. March 9 and 7 and 9:15 p.m. March 10
Lamb (2015) at 7 p.m. April 12 and 7 and 9:15 p.m. April 13.
Son of Saul (2015) at 7 p.m. April 27
Parking is free in UNC lots after 5 p.m.

Non-English language films are shown in the original language with English subtitles.
