Dr. Victoria Terranova is the principle investigator of the Colorado Pretrial Assessment Validation project. This is a state-funded project that is testing the predictive performance and seeking to improve the performance of Colorado's pretrial risk assessment tool. This is an assessment survey that is used to inform pretrial bond release decisions across the state. Dr. Terranova also conducts research on correctional effectiveness and recidivism. She is trained in rigorous program evaluation methodology aimed to reduce selection bias and assess trends in recidivism over time in quasi-experimental research.
