Janice M. Payan's (Ph.D. University of Wisconsin-Madison) research interests include influence, cooperation, and coordination in interorganizational contexts and marketing channels. She has published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Channels, and the Journal of Marketing Education, among others. She has also received several awards including the John A. Howard American Marketing Association Doctoral Dissertation Award (2000), the Monfort College of Business Scholar of the Year Award (2005, 2007, and 2009)and was recently awarded the Fulbright-Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration Distinguished Chair. Prior to beginning her career in academia, she was a marketing executive with a large communications company.
