    National Taiwan Sport University Visits UNC to Explore Partnership Opportunities

    A delegation from the National Taiwan Sport University (NTSU) visited UNC last week to explore international partnership opportunities with UNC’s Sport and Exercise Science program. 

    The delegation members included UNC alumnus Chen-Yueh Chen, Ph.D., delegation leader and dean, Management College, and Guan-Jang Wu, director, Department of Recreation and Leisure Industry Management. 

    UNC and NTSU have a long history of partnership with several students from NTSU participating in the dual graduate degree at UNC. The agenda for the visit to UNC focused on expanding the current partnership to include study abroad exchanges, internships, visiting scholar opportunities and other mutually beneficial partnership activities. 

    The delegation was hosted by Professor Gary Heise, program director of the School of Sport and Exercise Science in the College of National and Health Sciences, in partnership with UNC Office of Global Engagement.  UNC meetings include conversations with the UNC Sports and Exercise Science program faculty, NHS Dean Ellen Gregg, international admissions, and the study abroad and UNC Alumni Relations office.
