Launching UNC's Redesigned Website

Here's what to expect as the university's new site goes live

UNC’s redesigned website will officially go live next Tuesday. To complete this transition, several public-facing UNC websites will be temporarily offline while the site migrated to the new platform.

Scheduled Downtime

Tuesday, Dec. 16, starting at 9 a.m.

The following public websites will be unavailable during the transition window:

Anticipate several hours of downtime as the new site is brought online. Service will be restored as soon as the transition is complete.

What Will Not Be Affected

All core campus systems hosted on separate servers will remain fully accessible and functional, including:

  • RAVE Emergency Alerts
  • URSA
  • Banner
  • Slate (Admissions portals)
  • Canvas
  • Other internal and academic services not tied to the public web environment

What to Expect

During the transition, anyone visiting the URLs above may experience temporary outages or see maintenance messages. Once the update is complete, the new website will appear automatically—no action is needed from users.

Your patience and understanding are appreciated as this important upgrade is completed. Please reach out to the Web Communications team at webmaster@unco.edu with any questions or concerns.
