UNC experts will be present this month as part of a "Doc Talks" speaker series co-sponsored by Greeley Creative District and University District. The upcoming series is as follows: 

• Oct. 11: Leo Welch, D.M., dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts, "PVA, Our Community, and Training Artists: How, Why, and What is at Stake?” 
• Oct. 18: Janice Dickensheets, D.A.,  associate professor of Music History, “The Magic of Music Links: Evoking Audience Response”

Talks will be from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Atlas Theater, 709 16th St. Admission is $5 and includes light refreshments. The first talk in the series is by Dr. Benjamin George, NCMC/Banner Health, “Cancer Treatment: A New Battle Plan.”
