    Free Tech Support for Personal and University-Owned Devices

    This fall, IM&T launched a new service called Tech Den that is located on the first floor of Michener Library. At the Tech Den, students, faculty and staff can receive free in-person technology support on personal and university-owned devices seven days a week.

    This fall, IM&T launched a new service called Tech Den that is located on the first floor of Michener Library. At the Tech Den, students, faculty and staff can receive free in-person technology support on personal and university-owned devices seven days a week:

    • Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Sundays: noon to 7 p.m.

    UNC’s Technical Support team and student employees run the Tech Den to assist with basic troubleshooting on laptops, cell phones, tablets and more. Services can include solving issues with wireless connectivity, account logins, printing and Canvas questions. Currently, hardware support is not available.
