The UNC Affordable and OER (AOER) Committee wants UNC faculty, departments and programs to know about Round 6 of the statewide OER grant program. The grant program aims to support the adoption, adaptation and creation of open educational resources (OER) for courses and programs at Colorado higher education institutions.

The grant program offers multiple award categories, with grants ranging from $15,000 for small groups to $100,000 for the creation of a zero textbook cost degree (z-degree).

Please note that the grants subcommittee of the UNC AOER Committee will apply for the general incentive fund (up to $25,000). However, there are opportunities in other categories available for faculty or departments to pursue.

Interested applicants should review the full RFP from the Colorado Department of Higher Education for more information, eligibility criteria, evaluation process and reporting requirements. Applicants should also send a Notice of Intent to UNC’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and work with their office as needed. Final proposals are due to the state by Monday, Dec. 18, at 5 p.m.

For more information about OER, or for questions about this grant opportunity, contact Nancy Henke, textbook affordability librarian. To learn more about UNC’s affordable and OER initiatives, visit the Affordable and OER Committee website
