    Mobile Food Pantry Coming to UNC, Volunteers Needed

    The Weld Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry is coming to UNC this fall. The mobile pantry supports UNC community members by bringing healthy, fresh foods to those in need of food assistance.

    The Weld Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry is coming to UNC this fall. The mobile pantry supports UNC community members by bringing healthy, fresh foods to those in need of food assistance. The mobile pantry provides guests with fresh produce, dairy, meat, bakery and/or dry goods at no cost.   

    The pantry will be set up in Y lot near Nottingham Field from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates: 

    • Tuesday, Sept. 12 
    • Tuesday, Oct. 10 
    • Tuesday, Nov. 14 

    Guests are encouraged to bring their own bag or box, but there will be a supply of bags and boxes available at the event. During that time, the Bear Pantry will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. so Bear Pantry staff can support the mobile pantry.

    Student, faculty and staff volunteers are needed support the mobile pantry. The volunteer shift for each date is from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., to allow time for set-up and take-down.
