Our Mission

cea critic november 2017 cover

The CEA Critic publishes scholarly articles that read closely the texts-fiction, poetry, drama, nonfiction, and film-that English professors study and teach. The CEA Critic celebrates the importance of literary criticism from a variety of approaches and the value of reading and teaching familiar and unfamiliar literary works. The journal has a long-standing tradition of publishing new and experienced scholars. To continue this tradition, we welcome submissions from graduate students and aim to publish one article by a graduate student in each issue.

The CEA Critic is indexed in the MLA International Bibliography and appears three times each year. The College English Association holds the copyright to all articles published in The CEA Critic. For permission to reprint articles or to use them in class, please contact the editor
